the GROUP Torquemadaslot has tried the hollow stainless steel axle of Sloting Plus from 55 mms and 2,38 mms of diameter, the code of the product is SLPL 2155.

This axle is in steel of good quality, and the finishing touch of the edges are excellent.
 

For this test our point of reference is the perforated axle Slot.it code PA01-55H from 54 mms with diameter from 2,38 mms.

These are our measurements:

Hollow stainless steel axle Sloting Plus:            weight 1,2 grams, diameter hole 1,4 mms
Hollow stainless steel axle Slot.it:                       weight 1,0 grams, diameter hole 1,6 mms

From these information it is possible to notice the difference of weight, the axle Slot.it is lighter because it has less material in comparison to the axle Sloting Plus.

Evaluation of the performances.

to verify the advantage of a lighter axle is necessary to appraise the times of acceleration, unfortunately to perform in reliable way this operation to have is necessary of the tools that we don't have.

We can appraise the duration of the performances with this test:

I support motor anglewinder, transmission running and bushings MB slot code MB19022B, survey RPM of the motor: 16.200 to 12 volts to beginning test.

These are our surveys:

hollow stainless steel axle Sloting Plus: 15.150 RPMs                                       hollow stainless steel axle Slot.it: 15.000 RPMs

At the end of the test the motor had 16.200 RPMs to 12 volts.
 

The test of usury has lasted for 2 hours to axle, without lubrication.

After the first 2 hours the bushingses MB has been replaced and then it has been installed the second axle that has turned for other 2 hours.

 

These are the results:

hollow stainless steel axle Sloting Plus: 15.500  RPMs                              hollow stainless steel axle Slot.it: 15.200 RPMs

From these results it is evident that the axle Sloting Plus has a superior speed of the axle Slot.it, to have the certainty of the results we have repeated the verifications on the motor, that turned with 16.250 RPMs to 12V at the end of the test.

This image is of the axle Slot.it, it is possible to see the signs of the usury brought after the test of duration, the axle Sloting Plus has not brought some evident sign.

From our test we can be satisfied of our purchase and hollow stainless steel axle Sloting Plus will end to equip our Mosler for the Championship GT Italiano.
